In response to your letter to H. G. Parris dated December 3, 1979, on seismic and environmental qualification of class IE electrical equipment, TVA has determined that some ASCO valves at Sequoyah unit 1 are not fully qualified. TVA has replaced the following ASCO LB-83146 solenoid valves with qualified valves:

FSV-77-9, FSV-77-10, FSV-77-16, FSV-77-17, FSV-77-18, FSV-77-19, FSV-68-307, and FSV-68-308.

TVA will replace the following ASCO LB-831654 solenoid valves with qualified valves before March 21, 1980:

FSV-87-7, FSV-87-8, FSV-62-69, FSV-62-70, FSV-62-72, FSV-62-73, FSV 74, and FSV-63-71.
