Dear Wayne:
This will confirm our telephone conversation of October 17, 1979, relative to the routes you submitted to the NRC for irradiated fuel ship-ments from Pleasanton, California to Hanford, Washington. AsI mentioned, the primary route is the preferred route and poses no problem for Tri-State.
The alternate route is, in our opinion, significantly less desirable from an overall safety and security standpoint. However, it is a route that, at this time, we would run if it were necessary.
Very truly yours, TRI-STATE MOTOR TRANSIT CO.
