Further to our letters of November 15, 1979 (GM-526); November 21, 1979 (GM-528); November 29, 1979 (GM-530); December 6, 1979 (GM-531);
December 12, 1979 (GM-534); December 13, 1979 (GM-535); January 8, 1980 (GM-544); and January 10, 1980 (GM-546) and in response to the above referenced letter of concurrence, we wish to submit the following information:
Attached you will find a set of conference notes dealing with the erosion and dewatering at Plant Vogtle.
These minutes provide a summary status and outline additional plans we believe are required to accomplish the necessary dewatering in the powerblock backfill.
The plan of action, as outlined in the minutes, was reviewed with your Mr. Jack Harris during his recent inspection at the Vogtle site last Friday, February 8,1980.
It is our desire to commence work on these additional plans this coming Friday, February 15, 1980. We trust you will find these additional steps in keeping with our overall commitments on this matter and will concur with our proceeding as stated.
This response contains no proprietary information and may be placed in the NRC Public Document Rooms upon receipt.
