S. Nuclear Regulatory Connission (the Commission) has issued Amendments Nos. 46 and 40 to Facility Operating Licenses Nos. DPR-19 and DPR-25, issued to Commonwealth Edison Company, which revised the license and Technical Specifications for operation of the Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units Nos. 2 and 3, located in Grundy County, Illinois. The Comission has also issued Amendment No. 55 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-29 issued to Comonwealth Edison Company and Iowa-Illinois Gas and Electric Company, which revised the Technical Specifications for operation of the Quad Cities Nuclear Power Station, Unit No.1, located in Rock Island County, Illinois. The amendments become effective as of the date of issuance.

These amendments reduce the required number of operable ADS valves from five to four, and set reduced MAPLHGR limits (already administratively applied) to ensure conservative peak clad temperatures with only the four electromatic.40S valves operable.

The Comission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act and the Comission's rules and regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth in the license amendments.
