This is in response to your August 9,1979 request to extend the date for implementing your Safeguards Contingency Plan for a period of 15 to 30 days.

We have reviewed your request including the circumstances upon which you have made it.

We have determined that extending the implementation date would not be inimical to the common defense and security and would not constitute an unreasonable risk to the health and safety of the public.

Accordingly, we are hereby amending Section 9 of Materials and Plant Protectior.

Amendment, MPP-1 to your License flo. SNM-368 by revising License Condition 9.1.B to read as follows, effective immediately.

9.1.B Effective September 13, 1979, the licensee shall follow the Safeguards Cor.tingency Plan, Montville Facility, Revision 0, dated September 19,1978, as amended by Revision 1, April 30,1979, and as amended by these license conditions and as further amended by changes authorized under the provisions of 10 CFR 70.32(e).
