Dear Mr. Partlow:

The General Electric Company, Vallecitos Nuclear Center (GE-VNC) submits herewith six copies of a revised Page 5-1 to supersede the page of the same name in Refer-ence 2.

The changes included on the revised page are subuitted pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR 70.32(c), and provide clarification to 9ection 5.0 (e.g.

Physical Inventory) of the forementioned plan, as requested by Mr. Blaylock of your staff (Reference 3above).

In implementing the reported changes as set forth on the revised page, it is our determination that the :hanges do not decrease the effectiveness of the Material Control and Accounting Program. As the enclosed page contains information concern-ing the safeguarding of SNM, GE-VNC requests that it be withheld from public dis-closure,pursuantto10CFR2.790(d).
