(South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2)-

Docket flos. 50-498 and 50-499 Gentlemen:

On March 2,1980 Citizens Concerned About fluclear Power, Inc. (CCAf4P), an intervenor in the referenced proceeding, filed a motion for an extension of time to answer the Applicants' interrogatorics directed to CCANP which were filed on January 25, 1980.

In the f4RC Staff's view, CCANP's motion for an extension of time involves a matter of discovery between CCANP and the Applicants.

Accordingly, we take no position with respect to the motion and by this letter inform the Board that the Staff will not submit a response to the motion.

Sincerely, 1 1
