Sampic portions of duct systems with lap welds were fabricated a-d tested for reliabilit/ under seismic leads.

The analysis indicated that all stresses developed were cons.derably lower than allowable levels.

Based on this evaluation, it is concluded that the use cf the lap welded duct that has been Zab ricated will not adversely affect the safety of plant operations. The re f c re,

this problem is not reportable within the meaning of 10CFR50.55(e).

Details of the corrective action for this condition are identified on Management Corrective Action Report, MCAR-GCNS 50. SS, on file at the jobsite.
