Dear Mr. Romic:

This is in reply to your letter dated January 25, 1980, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, copies of a report on security at the Quad-Cities Nuclear Power Station, information on overexposure at the Quad-Cities Station on March 21, 1976, a report on radioactive water release on December 9,1979, and a report on an attempt or act of sabotage at the Quad-Cities Station on December 4, 1979.

In response to your first request, we have not located any documents I

which are related to the Grand Jury Inquest " conducted several years ago".

With respect to your second request concerning overexposures that occurred i

in March 1976, copies of documents one through six listed in Appendix A are enclosed.

With respect to the release of radioactive liquid in December 1979, t

copies of documents seven and eight are enclosed.

t With respect to your reference to "the recent attempt or act of sabotage which occurred at the Quad-Cities Station on December 4,1979", we assume you were referring to mispositioned valves found on December 3, 1979. This subject is discussed in document nine listed in Appendix A.

The name, social security number, and date of birth of the exposed individual mentioned in the attachments to document two of Appendix A have been deleted in order to protect that individual's right to privacy.

Copies of the documents supplied to you, herewith, are also being placed in the NRC Public Document Room (PDR), 1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC, and in the NRC Local Public Document Room (LPDR) for the Quad-Cities 0
