Dear Congressman Robinson:
In my February 13, 1979 response to your February 9, 1979 letter, I promised to furnish you with a copy of any decision which the Atomic Safety and Licensing Appeal Board might render with regard to the ptmphouse settle-ment issue which had arisen in connection with the North Anna nuclear power facility.
Last June, the Appeal Board conducted a two day evi-dentiary hearing on that issue.
Subsequent thereto, pro-posed findings of fact were filed by the Virginia Electric and Power Company, the two intervenors (Mrs. Geraldine Arnold and the Commonwealth of Virginia) and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff.
Upon a full consideration of the evidence adduced at the hearing, and of the proposed findings submitted by the various parties, the Appeal Board today rendered its decision (ALAB-578).
A copy of that decision is enclosed herewith.
