NRC BULLETIN NO. 79-25 FAILURES OF WESTINGHOUSE SFD REIAY S IN SAF E TY-RE LATED SYSTEMS NO. 1 AND 2 UNITS HOPE CREEE GENERATING STA TIO N In reply to IE Bulletin No. 79-25, dated November 2, 1979, we offer the following at this time:
Bechtel Power Corporation has contacted their suppliers of safety-related systems for a review to determine whether subject r e lay s are used.
Responses received up to January 14, 1980 by Bechtel indicate that the re lay s noted in subject bulletin are not included in those systems.
Bechtel reports that several inquiries of their suppliers have not been responded to as yet.
In the event those suppliers who have not responded to date have utilized the subject re lay s, a written plan for replace-ment and/or test program will be de ve lo p e d.
