Dear Mr. Keppler:

In response to IE Buitetin No. 79-23, Public Service Company of Indiana, Inc. (PSI) has determined that NAMCO Model EA180 limit switches are planned for use in safety-related equipment located both inside and outside the containment, including containment isolation valves, on the Marble H:ll Project.

PSI has reviewed the safety-related applications of NAMCO EAISO limit switches and has determined that some pieces of safety-relIted equipment use the subject limit switches date coded between 02-79 and 08-79. For that eqgipment which may be subject to a continuous ambient temperature of n: ore than 175 F, PSI will inspect tbc subject limit switches for the specified date code and replace the top cover gasket of the affected switches. A non-conformance report will be initiated to track the affected limit switches and corrective action taken.

For equipment which has not been shipped to the site, vendors will replace all affected top cover gaskets. For affected limit switches that have been delivered to the site, corrective action will be completed af ter resumption of Safety Category I construc-tion.
