Dear Mr. Engelken:

' <dP In response to IE Bulletin No. 79-23, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District has taken the following action:

1.

A determination was made that there are no connections between the neutrals of low kva rated transformers and high kva rated EDGs.

2.

A sustained full-load operation test has been made on each emergency dipsel generator for a duration of 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br />.

The continuous rating load was maintained for 22 hours2.546296e-4 days <br />0.00611 hours <br />3.637566e-5 weeks <br />8.371e-6 months <br /> and the 2-hour o v e r load wa.; maintained for 2 hours2.314815e-5 days <br />5.555556e-4 hours <br />3.306878e-6 weeks <br />7.61e-7 months <br />. Diesel Generator A was tested under Spe.ial Test Procedure No. 832 on October 22-23, 1979. Diesel Generator B was tested under Special Test Procedure No. 831 on October 17-18, 1979.

The test verified that voltage and frequency requirements were maintained and the cooling system functioned within design limits.
