MEMORANDUM ON REVISED DISCOVERY SCHEDULE (February 20, 1980)

For the convenience of the parties, this memorandum summarizes the Board's rulings on revisions to the discovery schedule made during the prehearing conference of February 13, 1980.

Original discovery requests (compared to follow-on discovery requests) including interrogatories,.. document requests, and deposition notices must be served on or before February 25, 1980.

Tr. 1640, 1681.

Objections to discovery requests made before February 13, 1980 shall be served on or before February 25, 1980.

Obj ctions to discovery requests made after February 12, 1980 shall be served on or before 15 days following the service of the discovery request.

Tr. 1656.

This ruling applies to all original discovery requests including deposition notices.

, Responses (not objections) to discovery requests, made before February 13, 1980 shall be served on or before March 17, 1980.

Responses to discovery requests made after February 12, 1980 shall be served within the time prescribed by the rules or by March 17, 1980 whichever is later.

Tr. 1659-61, 1680-81.

This ruling does not apply to depositions.

Depositions noticed before February 13, 1980 shall be scheduled for completion on or before March 17, 1980.

Depositions noticed after February 12, 1980 must be scheduled for completion within 30 days following the service of the notice.

Tr. 1677.

The board will consider motions for ad-ditional time for taking depositions upon a showing of good reason.

Tr. 1678.

Recommendations for a schedule for follow-on discovery were due February 19, 1980.

Tr. 1679.

The board will rule on follow-on discovery in a later order.
