Dear Mrs. Bowers and Members of the Panel:
Pursuant to the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board's Order Relative to Proposed New Schedule, dated December 4, 1979, enclosed are copies of the testimony Licensee will offer at the hearing to be held in the above-captioned proceeding beginning on February 26, 1980.
In accordance with the rulings of the Board at the prehearing conference of February 6,1980, Hursh-Castro Contentions 9, 16, 20, 21, 22, 24, 31, 32 and 34 are addressed in Licensee's testimony as Licensing Board Questions H-C 9,16, 20, 21, 22, 24, 31, 32 and 34.
In the absence at this time of any written prehearing conference order reformulating these contentions into questions worded more appropriately to address the Board's inquiry, Licensee has retained the wording of the contentions. As noted by the parties and acknowledged by the Board at the prehearin conference, it may P U er o lQi_

.e SHAW, PITTMAN, POTTS & TROWBRIDGE be necessary to offer supplemental testimony to respond to any construction of the questions in the prehearing conference order which was not under-stood by Licensee from the Board's remarks at the conference.
Attached to this letter is a Guide to Licensee's Direct Testimony, which provides references to the testimony for the response to each issue, contention and Licensing Board question. As discussed at the prehearing conference, the filing of testimony in response to California Energy Commission Issue 5-2 has been postponed.
