Dear Mrs. Bowers:
On February ll, 1980, the NRC Staff filed with the Board and the parties the direct testimony of the Staff, which consists of 23 separate documents.
The following two pieces of Staff testimony include attachments which apparently were not prepared by the witness:
NRC Staff Testimony of Dale F.
Thatcher Relative to the Integrated Control System; and NRC Staff Testimony of Bruce A. Wilson on Operator Training and Competence.
I have discucsed with Mr. Lewis, counsel for the NRC Staff, the proposed use of these attachments at the up-coming hearing and wish to advise the Board and the parties of this discussion.
It is my understanding that these attach-ments have been provided for information purposes because they are referred to by the witness, that the Staff may have them marked for identification, and that they will not be of fered into evidence.
