20555 Gentlemen:
Millstone Nuclear Power Station, Unit No. 2 Licensing Schedule for Cycle 4 Reload A meeting was held at the NRC Staff's offices in Bethesda on January 26, 1980 at which time a licensing schedule for the Cycle 4 reload of Millstone Unit No. 2 utilizing Westinghouse fuel was presented.
Since that time, seyeral events have occurred which have resulted in the need to revise this schedule.
In an effort to keep the Staff informed, Northeast Nuclear Energy Company (NNECG) provides the attached schedule identifying the dates at which various submittals will be made available to the Staff for review. Also included in the schedule are dates by which NNECO anticipates certain licensing actions will.
be completed by the Staff to support the scheduled startup date.
In light of the unique circumstances involving the upcoming Cycle 4 at Millstone Unit No. 2, in that this will be the first instance in which Westinghouse fuel is utilized in a Combustion Engineering (CE) reactor systera. Additional calendar time beyond that normally allocated for Staff review will be provided to preclude licensing delays to the Startup of Cycle 4.
