ORDER On February 9,1979, the Board issued an Order Ruling L)cn Intervention Petitions. As the parties were notified during the 1/
course of a conference call en February 15, 1977, the time for the initiation of discovery procedures begimas of today, February 16, 1979, and, within forty-five (45) days, said discovery procedures shall be ccx:pleted--i.e. by April 2,1979. Thereafter, en April 17, 1979, pursuant to 10 CFR $2.752,a prePaaring conference will be held in Houstcn, Texas. Matters to be censidered at the prehearing conference vill be:
- 1) Sirplificatien, clarificaricn, and specificatien of the issues; E ounsel for Texas PIRG was not available sten Applicant placed the C
initial conference call. Because he could not be contacted, dis-cussicn was deferred until later in the afterroon. Mr. Scott again was unavailable when the second conference call was placed.
Discussion proceeded after Applicant's co-ccursel stated that he would relay the centent of the discussion to Mr. Scott.

- 2) The necessity or desirability of amending the pleadings;
- 3) 'Ihe obtaining of stipulations and admissions of fact and of the contents and authenticity of documents to avoid unnecessary proof; 4)
Identification of witnesses and the limitaticn of the nu6er of expert witnesses, and other steps to expedite the presentaticn of evidence;
- 5) The setting of a hearing schedule; and
- 6) Such other matters as may aid in the orderly dispositicn of the proceeding.
As soon as arrangenents can be made, an Order will be issued notifying the parties of the location of the prehearing conference room.
