Dear Mr. Feiring:
In acknowledging receipt of your letter of August 1,1975, we wish to commend you on the progress that EBV Systems Division of Gulf & Western Manufacturing Company has achieved toward improvement in valve engineering and recognition of the safety implications of valve applications in nuclear power plants.
We further understand that you propose to submit during the fall of this year a Topical Report covering valves of your manufacture for review by the NRC staff in order to expedite our regulatory licensing review process.
For your guidance in this respect, I am enclosing a copy of the July 15, 1975 edition of our Topical Report Review Status (TRR Book).
You will note on page iii of the NRC Topical Report program an outline of the procedures and criteria for accepting new topical reports.
We also suggest tnat your submittal be directed to R. W.
