This certificate is issosi to satisf y Sections 173.393a,173.394,173.395, and 173.396 of the Department of Transportation Hazardous Materials Regulations (49 CFR 170-189 and 14 CFR 103) and Sections 146-19-10a and 146-19-100 of the Department cf Transportation Dangerous Cargoes Regulations (46 CFR 14G-149), as amended.

CONDITIONS This cestificate is conditional upon the fulfilling of the requirements of Subpart D of 10 CFR 71, as applicable, and the conditions specified in item 5 below.

(a) Packaging (1) Model No.: HN-300 (2) Description The packaging is an end-loaded, welded steel primastic cask, for low specific activity radioactive material,151 inches long, 61-1/2 inches wide and 47 inches high.
The cavity is 144 inches by 52-1/2 inches by 40-1/2 inches. The sides are 3-3/4 inches of steel and the end, doors, top and bottom are 3-1/4 inches of steel. The two side-hinged doors are provided with neoprene 0-rings and closed with fourteen, 1-1/8-inch steel bolts each.
The cask has four top-mounted welded lifting lugs, and four welded tie-down plates along the base. The package gross weight is 43,000 pounds.

(3) Drawing The packaging is constructed in accordance with Hittman Nuclear
& Development Corporation Drawing No. C001-4-9300, Rev. 4.
(b) Contents (1) Type and form of material Process solids, either dewatered, solid or solidified, meeting the requirements for low specific activity radioactive material as defined in 10 CFR 571.4(g), in secondary containers which meet the requirements for Type A (49 CFR 5173.393a(j)) packaging.
(2) Maximum quantity of material per package Greater than Type A quantities of radioactive material with the weight of the contents, secondary containers and shoring not exceeding 8,000 pounds.

Shoring shall be placed between the secondary containers and the cask cavity to prevent movement during normal conditions of transport.
7.
The package authorized by this certificate shall be transported on a motor vehicle, railroad car, aircraft, inland watercraft, or hold or deck of a seagoing vessel assigned for sole use of the licensee.
8.
The package authorized by this certificate is hereby approved for use under the general license provisions of 10 CFR 571.12(b).
