Dear Mr. Grier:
This letter is in response to your November 8, 1979 letter which for-warded Revision 2 to IE Bulletin No. 79-02.
This revision relates to pipe support base plate designs using concrete expansion anchor bolts associated with Seismic Category I piping systems at the Indian Point Unit No. 2 plant.
In our review of Seismic Category I piping supports using concrete expansion anchor bolts, all supports, including structural steel members (angle or channel), were considered.
The adequacy of these supports has been verified and was reported in our submittal to the Com-mission dated September 17, 1979.
It should be further noted that no Seismic Category I piping supports are attached to concrete block walls at the Indian Point Unit No. 2 plant.
