Dear Mr. Grier:
This letter updates the status of Bulletin 79-14 concerning the review of seismic analyses for ' a s -b uilt ' safety related piping.
The inspection, measurement, and review of all Unit 3 safety-related piping has been completed.
The inspection and measurement of all Unit 2 accessible piping has been c omp le t e d.
The review of the Unit 2 piping has been completed with the following exception.
The review of 2600 feet of Unit 2 accessible piping is dependent upon the inspection and measurement of associated inaccessible piping and will be completed during the Spring, 1980, refueling outage.
Noncomf ormances, as they are identified, are being evaluated by our architect engineer in conjunction with our Engineering Department.
Of the nonconformances identified thus far, only one has been judged to affect the operability of a system.
This nonconformance, found on October 19, 19 79 during the Unit 3 refueling outage, was res olved prior to Unit 3 returning to service.
Analytical engineering evaluations (seismic analyses) are being performed on the remaining nonconf ormances and the results will be included in the final rep ort.
