Dear Mr. Keppler:
IE Bulletin 79-28 requested that we review our use of NAMCO Model EA180 Limit Switches in safety related equipment inside or outside containment because of improper gasket material.
Our review has indicated that we have none of the subject switches installed at Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No. I facility. However, we do have fifteen in stock that had defective gasket material. At the present, nine of these switches have had the gasket replaced, and the other six will be changed upon receipt of the gaskets from NAMCO, before they are placed in service.
