Maine Yankee I&E Bulletin 79-14 Cottmitment Upon careful review of your letter, Reference (g), we have noted some dis-crepancies between our earlier conversations and the letter text.
To prevent any possible misunderstanding we are providing the following modification to your letter:
1.
Verification of as-built piping configuration is being performed in accordance with the inspection elements identified in Reference (b) except for piping support details and valve weights, with the following status to date:
a.
Inspections inside the containment are complete.
b.
Inspections not including valve weights and support details out-side containment are greater than 90 percent complete and will be completed by December 1, 1979.
c.
No nonconformances affecting the seismic qualifications of safety-related systems have been identified.

Verification of piping support details has been completed on 80 supports (50 inside containment and 30 outside) for piping 2 inches in diameter and larger.
Verification of as-built support details for the remaining supports will be completed prior to restart from the January 1980 refueling outage.
3.
Verification of valve weights has not been performed, but will be completed prior to restart from the 1980 refueling outage.
4.
Nonconformances with your existing seismic analysis, identified during the above inspections will be evaluated promptly in accordance with Reference (b).
Any nonconformance identified which compromises the seismic qualification of a safety-related system will be reported to this office within 24 hours2.777778e-4 days <br />0.00667 hours <br />3.968254e-5 weeks <br />9.132e-6 months <br /> and the plant will be placed in cold shutdown within 7 days of identification of the nonconformance or as specified by Technical Specifications, whichever is less, until repairs are cumpleted.
For nonconformances which affect seismic qualification of safety related systems identified during the outage, corrections / reanalysis will be com-pleted prior to restart.
5.
A final report of the inspection program, describing the results of the inspections, will be submitted to your office within 90 days after restart from the January, 1980 refueling outage.
This report will contain the information specified in IE Bulletin 79-14, paragraphs 3 and 4.
