Wisconsin Electnc roara cour>ur 231 W. MICHIGAN, P.o. BOX 2046, MILWAUKEE WI 53201 January 8, 1980 Mr. James G. Keppler, Director Office of Inspection and Enforcement, Region III U. S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION 799 Roosevelt Road Glen Ellyn, Illinois 60137

Dear Mr. Keppler:

DOCKET NOS. 50-266 AND 50-301 PIPE SUPPORT PLATES AND CONCRETE EXPANSION ANCHORS IE BULLETIN 79-02, REVISION 2 POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 This is to provide an additional response to IE Bulletin 79-02, Revision 2, dated November 8,1979. Our 30 day report transmitted to you on December 7, 1979 addressed inspection of pipe supports on concrete masonry walls for piping greater than 2-1/2 inch diameter, but not for small piping.

During December, 1979 an inspection of small piping was conducted.

From this inspection, it was determined that 19 small Seismic Category I pipe supports were located on masonry walls. All such supports have been or will be relocated to Seismic Category 1 reinforced concrete structures.

As reported in the December 7 transmittal, we anticipate having all 22 large and small pipe supports relocated by January 31, 1980.

If you have any questions on this or require clarification, please contact us.

Very truly yours, T.
