FAULT TREE (FIGURE 5.3-2) FOR THE REACTOR COOLANT PRESSURE BOUNDARY (RCPB) SAFETY FUNCTION Enclosed is Figure 5.3-2 for the reactor coolant pressure boundary safety function for your review.

Your conments and evaluation is requested by August 4,1979 so that all comments can be coordinated for the scheduled meeting with Sandia Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM on August 8-9, 1979.

The enclosed fault tree depicts the intermediate event " PRESSURIZER SYSTEM FAILS TO PREVENT RCS OVERPRESSURE" and, as such, completes the fault tree for RCPB for all operational occurrences from power operation (Mode 1) to hot shutdown (Mode 4).

The RCPB safety function series of fault trees is now complete ~and consists of Figure 5.3 and Figures 5.3-1 through 5.3-7, inclusive,
