SUBJECT:
PROPOSED REVISION 2 TO CATEGORY A TECHNICAL ACTIVITY TASK NO. A-7 Enclosed is our proposed Revision 2 to the Technical Activity Plan (TAP) for Task A-7, " Mark I Containment Long Term Program." This revision includes: (1) changes in scope and fundings for related technical assistance programs; (2) slight adjustments in NRR manpower require-ments; and (3) a clarification of the interface with TAP A-39,
" Determination of Safety Relief Valve Pool Dynamic Loads and Tempera-ture Limits for BWR Containments." To facilitate the reader's review changes in this revision are denoted in the right hand margin.
In addition, a simplified diagram is provided in Enclosure 2 which shows the inter-relationship of remaining tasks in this program.
This revision reflects those changes that have evolved since the original issuance of the A-7 TAP in August 1977, which were not considered in the general TAP updates that constituted Revision 1.
The changes in NRR manpower will reduce the FY 1978 estimate from 4.8 man-years to 4.1 man-years but the FY 1979 estimate will increase the total from 8.15 man-years to 8.85 man-years.
All organizations affected by this revision have concurred in the proposed changes.
