Identification of LOFT documents for Improved Access from NRC's Public Document Room (PDR)
Currently LOFT documents filed in the PDR are of four types:
l.
Correspondence filed under project number P 394.
I 2.
Formal reports (TREE's) filed under NUREG/CR number.
f 3.
Informal reports, including LTR's and progress report!, filed under an accession number which is unrelated to the subject or project.
4.
LOFT review group meeting minutes which are filed separately.
Of the four types, type 3 is especially difficult to locate by the PDR st'ff.
I have discussed the matter with Lynn Scattolini of the PDR and she agrees that this situation would be improved if the project number, P 394 is shown on the cover or first sheet of all LOFT documents which are sent to NRC.
I would therefore appreciate your help in implementing this change, and thus improving the public's access to LOFT documents.
