Dear Mr. Miller:
This is to confirm our telephone conversation of this date in which you approved the agreement entered into between the NRC Staff arid Pacific Gas & Electric Company for an extension of time in which to file a Motion to Compel Discovery to Staff's First Set of Supplemental Inter-rogatories.
As you may recall, on February 8, 1979 you approved a previous extension to April 30 By agreement of the parties and with your approval, the new date for filing the Motion to Compel Discovery will be May 3,1979.
The Staff has agreed to mail this Motion by the most expeditious means so as not to delay PG&E's analysis, should it wish to respond at our scheduled Conference with Counsel, May 15-17.
The Staff apologizes for this delay but good cause exists in that recent events have required the attention of our technical staff such that their assistance has not been available to prepare the Motion to Compel Discovery.
