Enclosed please find an application from General Electric Company for a license to export 18,452 kilograms uraniun enriched to 3.65%

uranium-235 for use as reload fuel for the Fukushima 1 Unit 6, in Japan.

Before taking action on this license application, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of +he Executive Branch, as to whether the issuance of the reque:ted 11cc.me would be inimical to the interests of the United States, including the cocnon defense and security, and whether the proposeJ export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act as amended by the Nuclear tionproliferation Act of i:.178.
