Phase V was the final segment of the study which began in 1974 to access the impact of Vermont Yankee open cycle operation on the Connecticut River ecosystem near Vernon, Vermont.
This series of studies resulted in a modification to our NPDES permit in September, 1978 to allow open cycle operation each year for the period October 15 to May 15.
