Durina and subsecuent to recional neetinos with industria.1 radiooraphers in 1977-73, discussions indicated that the review or case histories of radionrachy incidents was a valuaDie trainina tool.
Subseauently, Appendix A of 10 CFR Part 34 was amended (Narcn 3,1980) to include case histories as a recuired training subject.
You have recently been sent a connilation of case nistories concerning overexposures, unnecessary exposuces and other unusuai events tnat nave occurred during the conouct of radienraony operatitis.
That document is intended to provide subject raterial for Iten V, Aopencix A, 10 CFR Part 34.
Notice to Padiogranny Licensees Radiograpny licensees are required by 10 CFR Part 34.31 (a)(1), which references Appendix n,
to include a revie.v of case histories of radiooraphy accident as part of the training program for radiograpners.
NRC licensees authorized to use bypredoct caterial pursuant to 10 CFR Part 34 should include the case history docunent in their radiographer trainino program as required subiect matter.
