Durina and subsecuent to recional neetinos with industrial radicaraphers in 1977-73, discussions indicated that +hn review of case histories of radiocrachy incidents was a valuable trainiro tool.
'ubseouently, Appendix A of 10 CFR Fart 34 was arended (March 3, 19801 to include case histories as a required training subject.
You have recently been sent a cennilaticn of case histories concerning overexposures, unnecessary exposures ano other unusual events that have occurred durino the conduct of radicaraphy operations.
That document is intended to provide subject rateri,1 for item V, Appendix s. 10 CFR Part 34.
i:otice to Radicaranny Licensees Radiography licensees are requiad cy 10 CFR Part 34.31 (a)(1), which references cppendix A, to inciuue a revica of case historie3 of radiography accidents as part of the trainirq progran for radiographers. GRC licensees authorized to use byproduct acteridi pursuant to 10 CFR Part 34 should include the case history document in their ra liographer training program as renuired subject r3tter.
