NRC Notification of State of Florida Regarding St. Lucie Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2 License Amendments Regarding the Selected Emergency Diesel Generator Surveillance Requirements Ms. Becker, The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is preparing to issue a license amendment for the St. Lucie Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2. In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 50.91(b), I am notifying you of the proposed issuance of this amendment.
Please reply if the State of Florida has comments on the following licensing action submitted to the NRC by Florida Power & Light Company (the licensee): License Amendment Request to Allow Performance of Selected Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) Surveillance Requirements (SRs) During Power Operation, dated December 20, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML18354A901), as supplemented by letter dated June 28, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19179A132).
The associated proposed no significant hazards consideration for this amendment request was published in the Federal Register on May 21, 2019 (84 FR 23077).
