Central and South West Corporation, Central and South West Services, Inc., Public Service Company of Oklahoma, West Texas Utilities Company, Southwestern Electric Power Company and Central Power and Light Company (the "CSW Companies"), through their attorneys and pursuant to Sections 2.740(c) and 2.741(d) of the Commission's Rules of Practice, respectfully request that this Board enter a protective order extending the time within which to answer the second set of interrogatories from Houston Lighting & Power Company ("HLP") and relieving the CSW Companies from producing documents in response to HLP's second request for production of documents. In support 8003040 h,

[

hereof the CSW Companies allege:

1. On February 6, 1980, HLP filed its Second Set of Interrogatories and Requests for Production of Documents

("Second Request") to the CSW Companies.

2. By the terms of the Second Request and the Commis-sion's Rules of Practice, the CSW Companies must respond to the interrogatories on or before February 25, 1980, and to the request for documents by March 13, 1980.
3. Because of the press of other discovery matters, the CSW Companies request that they be granted until February 29, 1980 to answer the interrogatories.
4. Since the response to the request for documents is not due until March 13, 1980 and the Board has previ-ously ordered all fact discovery completed on or before February 29, 1980, the HLP document request in the Second Request is not timely and therefore should be denied.

WHEREFORE, the CSW Companies respectfully request that this Board enter a Protective Order:

(A) Granting them until February 29, 1980 to respond to HLP's Second Set of Interrogatories; and, (B) Relieving them of any obligation to produce docu-ments in response to HLP's Second Request for Production of Documents.
