Dear Mr. Engelken:
In response to IE Bulletin No. 79-24, we have reviewed all of our safety related process, instrument and sampling lines exposed to the weather and have assured ourselves that none of these lines will freeze during cold weather. Although it is rare to have a period in excess of several hours when the temperature is below the freezing point, we insulated or installed heat tracing on all of the critical lines during construction. Our records indicate that we have not had any freezing problems at Rancho Seco since this work was completed. Sincerely, -{
