The Comission is pleased to learn that the ACRS will participate in the NRC rulemaking on storage and disposal of radioactive waste from nuclear facilities.

Regarding the proposed timing of ACRS coments, we agree with your suggestion to extend the period for ACRS comments to approximately sixty days after the cross-statements are filed.
