Dear Mr. Baldwin:
Reference is made to your letter of June 19, 1979 addressed to Roy Lessy re-garding billing for the copying of HL&P documents responsive to Staff's document requests.
I apologize for the delay in our response, but there are several problems in acceding to this request for payment.
First, I am advised by our controller's office that flRC cannot pay for services and materials without an invoice. Thus, I request that you send the invoice submitted to you by HL&P, and also that submitted to HL&P if the work was done by a contractor.
Second, I am also informed that the rates quoted - lic/page for conventional copying, and $1.50/page for hard copy from microfiche - may be erroneous.
NRC has apparently never been quoted a rate higher than 45c/page for micro-fiche copying, nor more than Sc/page for conventional copying from any reproduction company or law firm.
I would appreciate your review of this matter in light of the above comments.
