INFORMATION REGARDING GENERIC TASKS RE: MEMORANDUM FROM S. HANAUER TO TASK MANAGERS DATED JUNE 15, 1979 Responses to the questions identified in the above referenced memo are the following:
Q1 - Provide listing of relevant industry (licensees, vendors, other) studies underway or completed.
Answer Not applicable.
Individual NSS st,ppliers, vendors, and laboratories (such as Wyle and Franklin Institute) are currer,tly developing programs and methods to conform to the current qualification requirements.
Specific qualifica-tion reports will be evaluated by the staff.
Q2 - Provide a listing of NRC Consultants utilized on the task.
Answer Oak Ridge National Laboratories i.e., John Anderson, G. Holt, F. Manning and E. Waugh.
Q3 - Provide a listing of relevant NRC research programs (indicate whether program has direct input into task or is only related).
Answer Infcrmation received from Sandia on-going qualification testing evaluation program will indirectly be factored into the Generic Task Action Plans.
The three Sandia Tasks are:

Q4a - Provide a listing of Tech Assistance funds expended or that will be spent in FY 1979 by contractor or DOE lab.
Answer 875K for the Sandia Research Program (indirect benefit) 94K for the Oak Ridge National Lab (direct benefit)
Q4b - Identify any additional funds needed in FY 1979 by program and con-tractor or DOE lab.
Answer None Q4c - Identify those prcgrams that will require Tech Assistance fonds in FY 1980.
Provide a very brief description of each program and identify the contractors or DOE lab for each if already selected.
Answer 1.
A continuing effort by Oak Ridge National Labs to assist the staff in review and evaluation of specific equipment qualificrtion programs that are submitted by applicants and NSS Vendors.
