respect-fully move the Board for an extension of the December 17, 1979, date for final requests for discovery to be served.

respectfully asks-the Beard to permit supplemental requests for discovery to be filed by December 21, 1979.
The initial interrogatories have been mailed to the NRC staff and the applicant (SMUD) in accordance with the Board's Order Relative to Proposed New Schedule (December 4, 1979).
The additional five days are requested by Petitioners, F.O.E.,
to coordinate any supplemental interrogatories with the California Energy Commission (CEC) and prevent unnecessary duplication.
This request has been discussed by telephone with counsel for the NRC Staff and the applicant.
NRC Staff counsel agreed to the extension for supple-mentary interrogatories to December 21, 1979.
