Dear Mr. Keppler:
Reference (a) contained the results of an inspection conducted by Messrs. T. J. Madeda, J. F. Schaper and C. A. Schwan of your office on September 17-21 and 24, 1979 of activities at Zion Station. That in-spection indicated that certain activities appeared to be in noncompliance with flRC requirements. The inspection identified three infractions and one deficiency.
Since corrective action had been taken on two items of noncompliance, no response to those items was required. Commonwea l th Edison Company's response to the remairing two items of noncompilance (infraction and deficiency) are contained in Attachment A to this letter.
The areas examined during this inspection concern a subject matter which is exempt from disclosure according to Section 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," Part 2, Title 10, Code of Federal Regulations.
Consequently, this response should not be placed in the Public Document Room.
