Subject:

Request for Additional Information with Regard to Quality Assurance Program.

Enclosure:

Seven (7) copies of response for additional information Gentlemen:

1.

Part 3.5 of the Lockheed Missiles and Space Company, Inc., Quality Assurance plan for " Packaging Utilized in Transporting Radioactive Materials" has been modified with a statement that directs that each activity be audited at least once each year using a written checklist.

2.

An organizational chart has been added to the Quality Assurance program which identifies by position title those LMSC employees that perform the critical handling, storage, and shipping operations, and those employees that perform the regulatory required inspections and tests, and those employees that assure that these inspections and tests are performed.

We trust that this additional information satisfies the requirements for an approval of LMSC's Quality Assurance program for " Packaging Utilized in Transporting Radioactive Materials".

Sincerely, Lockheed Missiles & Space Company Inc.
