NRC IE BULLETIN NO. 79-14 SEISMIC ANALYSIS FOR AS-BUILT SAFETY-RELATED PIPING SYSTEMS NO. 1 AND 2 UNITS HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION In our reply to IE Bulletin No. 79-14 dated November 1,

1979, a word was inadvertently omitted which changes the context of the letter.

The first paragraph of the letter should read as follows:

The NRC requires that we inspect all of Hope Creek Generating Station's Units No. I and 2 safety related systems in action items 2 and 3.

Due to the small amount of piping and hangers installed and the lack of any piping systems completed, a special inspection for "as-built" configurations would not be appropriate until the system piping is completed.

Should additional information be desired, we will be pleased to further discuss it with you.
