Mr. James P. Bell P. O. Box 35 Tinley Park, IL 60477 Gentlemen:
This refers tc the telephone conversation between you and Mr. A. B. Davis of this office on November 7, 1979, regarding your storage of packages of radioactive waste for periods of time in excess of six months.
With regard to the matters discussed, we understand that you have under-taken or will undertake the following actions by November 15, 1979:
1.
Dispose to an authorized recipient all waste held by Atomic Disposal Company for a period longer than that provided by your license con-dition, or discontinue collecting or accepting waste of a type for which you can find no authorized recipient.
2.
Provide suitable overpacks to meet applicable federal requirements for waste containers which exhibit corrosior. or questionable integ-rity prior to shipment.
If our understanding of the above is not correct, please contact this office by telephone immediately.
