Dear Mr. Kruesi:
Enclosed is the final report on the results of investigations of the scratches on the D!I Unit #1 reactor vessel internal ther=al shield.
This report is a follow-up to our verbal notificatien to you on May 15, 1973 which reported finding the scratches.
The report concludes the scratches to be minor and in no way ecmpromising the integrity or function of the thermal shield, a lowly stressed ec=ponent in service.
The documentation associated with the subject repairs is available et the TMI site for your inspection.
