Dear Mr. Giambusso:
Attached are three signed originals and 19 conformed copies of Amend-ment 35 to the Operating License Application for Three Mile Island Nuclear Station Unit 1. Amendment 35 addresses question 9.5 contained in Mr. DeYoung's letter of September 28, 1972, questions 5.27, 5.2 7.1, 5.27.2, 5.2 7.3 and 5.27.4 contained in Mr. Kniel's letter of October 30, 1972, and information which serves to update the FSAR. The answer to question 9.5 has been forwarded as Supplement 2, Part VII, the balance of the material has been incorporated into the text and is forwarded in the form of change pages dated December 20, 1972. Met-Ed also wishes to incorporate, as part of our license application the Babcock & Wilcox Topical Report BAW 10038, " Prototype Vibration Measurement Program for Reactor Internals". It is the applicant's contention that Babcock & Wilcox Topical Report BAW 10050 " Evaluation Oconee Reactor Component Failures" should not be incorporated as part of the license application for Three Mile Island Unit 1 since the information contained in this report pertains to the Oconee Unit involved. There are also enclosed one copy and 20 conformed copies of the Certificate of Service of Amendment 35 on the chief executives of the township and county in which the facility is located.
