The hearings are expected to address the following:

Three Mile Island and huclear Reactor Safety - May 21 and 2" The Subcorrnittee will look at the effects of the TMI-2 accident on:

requirements for additional research on tne effects of

small-break accidents, b.

modification of I&E inspection prccedures and the residen' inspector program, and c.

standardization of plant designs.

Nuclear Regulation--Licensing, Siting, etc. - June 4 and 5 1.1.-.

The Subconnittee is expected to address the relationship between

The Subcommittee will consider the types of threats and the ability ^ of the regulations to protect nuclear materials and facilities. The Subcommittee will also consider if 000 F

These hearings will cover all aspects of the nuclear waste problem including Federal management of waste and State participation in siting of waste storage facilities and regulation of waste transportation. The Commissioners will b

Price-Anderson Act and Nuclear Liability - July 9 Liability limitations and financial protection will be covered; consideration will be given to accidents which the Act does not cover, including those at waste storage facilities. The Commissioners will be invited to testify.
