May 7, 1979 MEMORANDUM FOR:
IE Control Room and Trailer #8 Personnel FROM:
IE Trailer #8
SUBJECT:
PERIODIC INSTRUMENT READINGS Due to the present location (on top of the Unit 2 Auxiliary Building) of the readouts for airborae ef fluent monitors AM-1,
-2,
-3, and -4 and V-5, and the ef fort necessary to convert t.he readings once they are obtained, the transmission of those hourly monitor readings by the IE person in the Control Room to Trailer #8 will not generally occur before 45 minutes after the hour.
It will not be unusual for the readings to occasionally lag by as much as 1 hours1.157407e-5 days
2.777778e-4 hours
1.653439e-6 weeks
3.805e-7 months
.
In add 4. tion, there may be three or four hourly readings each day <nich will be missed by licensee personnel due to other high priority tasks and shift changes.
There should not routinely be any reasons for delays in the transmission of wind speed and direction readings. Those readings will normally be transmitted within 15 minutes past the hour and half hour.
Installation of local (turbine floor outside Control Room) readouts for AM-1,
-2,
-3, and -4 and V-5 is presently in progress.
Pending completion of that project, we will continue to experience the above centioned delays. Althcugh the delays are undesirable, they are unavoidable and therefore acceptable.
Please bear with the delays on an interin basis and make every attempt to obtain accurate readings as time'_y as possible.
