Suc=ary of activities parforted: The inspector was assigned to the environmental section. The first day was utilized by performing off-site, downwind radiation measurements and obtaining local maps.

The following week, I was assigned to the Environmental TLD placement and collection activities.

Detailed maps and descriptions of the TLD locations were prepared and documented. The last week was utill:ed in perferming downwind, off-site monitoring, collection of air samples, and documentation of survey results.

Other comments:

I was not involved with licensee or in-plant operations, however, considerable contact was made with local residents and officials.

Other agencies were also collecting environmental samples and monitdring radiation levels, which proved to be especially valuable when we needed data from the opposite side of the river.
