i,40 1979 SSINS 8152 MEMORANDUM FOR:
- 3. H. Grier, Director, Region I FROM:
P. J. KelloSg, Chief, Nuclear Sapport Section II, RONS Branch, Regior. II
SUBJECT:
Activities While at Three Mile Island (Dil) 1.
I arrived at DII at 11:00 a.m. April 17, 1979. During my tour of duty, I stood the midnight shif t (12:00 p.m. - 8:00 a.m.).
I normally arrived onsite shortly after 11:00 p.m. and departed between 8:00 -
10:00 a.m.
I departed DII at 8:15 a.m. on May 1, 1979.
2.
My normal watch station during the tour was that of IE Shift Supervisor.
While in that capacity, I directed the in-plant activities of the inspectors assigned to the shift as well as the environmental survey team on the shift.
I prepared the daily PN as a portion of my assigned duty.
Additionally I organized the incoming data into files, made recommendations for :.taffing changes and made recccmendations for information gathering on design changes for future turnovers.
3.
It would appear that in the accident /past accident conditions less emphasis should t..
placed on the office one works for (IE/NRR) and more on the team effort (NRC).
